Therapy Dog Training Interest? Due to many different types of programs, bring a note to your first class stating what venue you wish to pursue (hospital, nursing home, school, library reading, etc.).
There are many AKC clubs in the SE MI area that offer Canine Good Citizen testing. This test is usually a base requirment for those pursuing therapy certifications. My O&M Two and Two Plus offer practice for same.
'Fake' Documentaton: An 'on line' certification available for a fee does a huge disservice to the Therapy Dog programs. Please do not undermine the decades of work to provide people with a genuine interest in volunteering to make the world a better place for those truly in need. I will not participate or support the purchasing of 'fake' certifications which exploit the system.
