Group Class Registration Information and Schedule

This page is best viewed on a larger screen if possible as there is much information.

RESULTS CLASSES & PAWFORMANCE SPORTS!

Hello, thank you for your interest! My small group classes are offered through Brighton Community Education (BCE). Indoor classes are held in the Hilton Elementary School gym (on Hilton Rd. A short distance south of M-59, just west of Old US-23 - Woodland Lake area). Or in the large carpeted room with A/C at the Brighton Miller Kiva. We are in the complex shared with Community Ed, the Senior Center and Tot Spot behind the soccer field on the hill. The address is 850 Spencer Rd., Brighton. Both locations are close to the I-96 and US-23 interchange.

BCE HAS A NEW WEB SITE! They will be registering on line for May and summer start classes beginning on May 1st. Links are below!

Note that my information here reflect the most current offerings as I update information as changes occur. Occasionally the BCE pages have not been updated for the most recent offerings. Feel free to call me, Mary T. at 517-548-4536 or shoot me an email if you have any Qs.

2021 - Celebrating 40 years!

"Due to the curent executive order and district policy masks are required..." Brighton Community Ed and it's partners" (included Results-Pawformance/Mary T. Ratelle) are following the most current recommendations on handling COVID-19 so that the risk of transmission is as low as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that proximity around other people will not result in the transmission of COVID-19."

The same executive order as noted also applies to all locations of offerings by Results-Pawformance/Mary T. Ratelle. Keep a distance of 6' from others and 10' from other pets if room allows, before, during and after class.

Due to Covid-19 related issues, my offerings have changed. Home privates are not available at this time. Thanks in advance for your patience. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your pup soon! Mary T.

Pawformance Sports Specials!

For Results - Pawformance Sports! graduates that have met prerequisites. Great for extra help, socializing and for fun!
The below specials are scheduled per interest. If dates are noted, enough interest has been received to warrant advertising a class! Minimums are needed for an event to fly, please preregister. A flyer with registration form is available at class.

Due to too many verbal "attendings" that turned into 'no shows', specials are now to be prepaid with a check (no CCs) given to the instructor (not BCE). If an offering is cancelled by BCE or the instructor, checks will be returned or per the trainer's request to another event scheduled in the near future.

When minimums are met, note that no refunds or transfers will be given if less than 48 hours prior to the event. Room and custodial service is arranged in advance. When a special fills, registrations are closed and others are turned away. Thank you for your understanding.

If you are registering for multiple events, please provide a check for each event. Note the date and event name on check or use the paper registeration form on the Specials flyer (available at class). No flyer? List your pertinent info with registration.
Minimums and maximums apply, register early to avoid disappointment. Drop ins may be accepted at the event if room allows - note the "may" word.

Q's? Call Mary T.'s Bark Line: 517 - 548 - 4536 OR send an email. Thank you!

2021 Entry Level and Returning Group Class Information and Schedule

Welcome and thank you for your interest!

Signing Up? While most classes fill early, sometimes an offering will not meet minimum in time for staff scheduling.
Please register at least one week early to avoid disappointment!
Registering early helps to ensure that building staff can be scheduled before deadlines arise.

Remember when registering to confirm dates and times. Note - while we try our best to run classes as advertised, due to unforeseen future events at time of advertising, printing, etc. - some dates may change.

Registering Late? If it is late the day of offering be sure to bring your class payment receipt with you. If you are not on the instructor's roster, without a receipt with the class name, date and paid, I am not allowed to have you participate. Thank you, Mary T.

Curious about attendance? See my small class size rosters at my Trainer's Bark News - on line newsletter! Click HERE and scroll down.

Before registering, please follow Steps #1 - #5:

#1 New? Read Program Information .
Here you will also FAQs at the bottom of the page, then return to this Schedule page.

#2 Read Trainer Information Form & Rules.
If you agree with the terms, print this two page form.
Bring this completed form to your first class so I may review before your class #2.

#3 Health Record Requirements:

Pets must have two distemper, parainfluenza and parvo vaccines, a clear fecal check (ideally within' thirty days prior to class for puppies and a rabies vaccine is s/he is six months or older per MI law.
(The combo vaccine is not required to be given at once, if your vet administers separate vaccines, that is fine providing coverage is provded.)
Titers documented on veterinary letterhead are accepted!

Please bring a copy of the latest health record for your pet for my file. Note, if you don't have a copier, I can make a copy and return your original at the following class.

Other vaccines may be recommended by your veterinarian. Bordetella is recommended if your pet will be boarded, at a groomer salon, in public parks or at day care facilities due to the higher percentage of possible infection.
Note vaccinations are not 100% effective. If your pet displays any health concerns, please do not bring it to class and risk passing infection to other pets. You may attend and see the new lessons to practice at home as your pet is able.

New Pet? To help avoid possible parvo or kennel cough at class, pets that are acquired within two weeks prior to class start should not attend class until the two week incubation period is over. If this applies to you and you do not want to wait for a future session, do register and attend the second class if necessary without your pet. You can observe the lessons and practice at home, your pet will be missed, but will do alright starting at class #3 if you have practiced at home. Thank you!

#4 Locations with Google Map Links are listed below by each class.
Consider travel time for your class location before registering.
Note parking, exercise and entrance areas.
Pets are not allowed on other areas of the grounds or indoors except for the training room.
Use the direct entrance to the training room if your pet is with you.
